     My wife and I were looking for a Silky Terrier adult male in Florida for six weeks when we found Rescue Me. We were pleasantly surprised to see two Silky Terriers available for adoption that were not too far away, and Magnus was exactly what we were looking for. So we contacted the owner to learn more about Magnus and discovered that our search was over. Magnus has been with us only a couple of days, but it's clear he is the perfect dog for our family; gentle, affectionate, playful, and a good companion to our female five year old Yorkie/Toy Poodle mix. The two dogs are already trailing each other around the house and engaging in some gentle games with the available toys. We love Magnus, and know he will be with us for a long time enjoying a healthy, happy, safe life in our home.

     This is a great site and way to find a match for the breed you desire. Jojo was re-homed with great results. She was originally available on Rescue Me four years ago when we were considering a Silky Terrier. When my husband died last year and my back up pet care giver moved out of the country, it became necessary to secure another loving home. I miss her, but know that she is doing well, and that I will get to see her from time to time. Although blind in one eye when we adopted her, it never stopped her from being full of energy, charming and a great ball chaser. By asking and sharing the right information, you will help someone secure a great future for a special animal. Thanks Rescue Me!

     Jack was successfully adopted by a loving retired couple. I posted Jack on Rescue Me! at 5 in the morning and we had a slew of local responses via email and phone the very next day... There was one call that struck my heart, a couple that had lost their silky in January and I just had a feeling about Carol so I called her first. They came down to visit with Jack that afternoon and ended up taking him home. We are going to pet sit Jack for them while they vacation later this month, and we will be able to visit Jack whenever we are in Willliamsburg, which is quite often. We are so very pleased for Jack and his new parents and I am so thankful for this site!! It has saved us so much heartache. We are moving to a new home that does not allow pets so we were quite worried about finding a good quality home for Jack. I am 100% sure that we have placed Jack in a VERY loving home where he will be cherished and loved forever. A very happy ending for all involved!!

     It broke our heart to have to put Sebastian, a 2 year old Silky, up for adoption. Life with a new baby was too much for everyone including Bastian, who wasn't getting the attention he needed. Rescue Me! was a huge success. Wonderful and caring folks applied about adopting him. We were overwhelmed at the number of responses. I would HIGHLY recommend using Rescue Me! for adoptions.      I wish all of life's wishes for the perfect ending could be so easy. The format Rescue Me has put together to put pets up for adoption was very user friendly, which took the stress out of the process. Within hours I received emails and calls from interested parties and within three days Teddy found the perfect home. There were many ideas about the home I had envisioned for him and the couple that adopted him met them all. I will recommend Rescue Me to anyone looking to find a home for a pet or wanting to adopt. Rescue Me turned a difficult decision into a peaceful experience!
